The past few weeks the children have been working hard in Marymount. They have been weeding and maintaining flower beds. Today, having cleared one of the beds they planted lovely colourful flowers and finished off the area really well. They learned first hand how to plant flowers and how to maintain them.
I would like to thank the children for their contributions and hard work to Marymount and giving back to such a worthy cause. I would like to thank the parents who helped out in any way, it's hugely appreciated.
A great day was had in CIT as both girls and boys teams competed in their respective finals. Huge talent, skill, athleticism and determination were showed by every player. Well done on all your training throughout the year. You all represented yourselves extremely well!!
We set off to Rochestown Park Hotel on Thursday June 2nd for the Junior Entrepreneur Programme Showcase Day. Here we set up our stand, met lots of other participating schools, saw the fantastic projects that other schools undertook, received our flag, certificates and plaque, met with entrepreneurs and sports personalities and sampled the treats from the goodie bags. JEP really is such a worthwhile and benefial programme. Thanks to everyone for all their hard work and thanks for making JEP such a success.
Well done to Liam and Darragh who were awarded their courtesy certificate on Friday. They constantly display fantastic manners, are polite and kind to all those around them.
Well done to all 6th class who display good manners throughout the school and are setting great examples to all.
Keep it up and remember, it costs nothing to be nice!! 😊
6th class setting a fantastic example to children from junior infants. Showing great compassion they read, questioned, chatted and got to know a little bit about each other. It was so lovely. Looking forward to next week already.
A huge well done to the girls camogie team and the boys hurling team who qualified for the Sciath na Scol finals today with superb victories over Whitechurch and Gaelscoil Carrig Uí Leighin. Looking forward to the finals!! Baile Nóra Abú...
As a result of our very successful JEP project ' A Ballinora Greeting' the students got the opportunity to spend some of their profits.
We headed to Leisureplex for bowling and Quazar. This was immense fun. That left us all quite hungry so off we set to feast on a delicious lunch at Milanos. What a lovely day for the students and a very positive programme to undertake.
