Cork in 1916

Thanks to Daniel Breen for coming to talk to the classes about the events before, during and after the rising from a Cork perspective.

Proclamation Day

A very special day to commemorate the events of 1916, the raising of the tricolour and to celebrate all the fantastic things that our country has to offer, Irish dancing, our flag, our language and our national anthem. 

Well done to the pupils who reimagined a vision for 2016 and who wrote a wonderful proclamation. 

The pupils then danced the afternoon away for the ceilí.

Showcase Day (JEP)

Thanks to everyone who attended our showcase day. The pupils put in a huge effort in setting up 'A Ballinora Greeting' and it was wonderful that they got the opportunity to showcase their efforts.

Ceremony of light

What a beautiful mass for the Ceremony of Light. Well done to all rang a sé pupils for their efforts. 

Cake Sale (JEP)

A great effort to raise money for our Junior Entrepreneur Programme was made by rang a sé. A total of €702 was raised. A fantastic amount which will go a long way towards setting up our business 'A Ballinora Greeting'
